Investor Education Profile
Academic Programs
PSE organizes multiple educational programs for academic purposes, targeting different academic levels. Convenient programs are designed and executed to meet their needs and capabilities.
PSE aims at establishing good values and educating investors of tomorrow, in addition to opening a communication channels with the students to widen their knowledge in securities, its tools and PSE role in the national economy; as the program is executed in cooperation with educational and academic associations and institutions concerned about developing students' skills.
Below are the main projects and programs initiated and launched by PSE:

Stock Simulation
PSE has introduced a totally new & useful educational tool to the Palestinian university students based on simulating Palestine Securities Exchange from a new educational perspective. It allows students to develop their own skills in predicting, analyzing and trading at PSE in a virtual environment.
A closed exchange is designed that is suitable for the students' own specifications and setting the same trading time as set for PSE. Stock Simulation project is a customized E-Trading program that is a standardized PSE System.

Investor Research Contest
An annual contest is prepared by PSE in which students are to do researches focusing on securities and market exchanges. This contest is targeting Palestinian University students; moreover, students of all different majors are to participate; allowing equal opportunities to all students.

A visit to the Bursa
PSE has prepared a visit to its premises, to high school and university students in which all students get familiar with all different aspects of securities and market exchanges and PSE in particular.

A Day at the Universities
A program has been organized targeting business, economics and commerce faculties, in which intensive presentations and lectures are presented in one day about market exchanges, investment tools and securities.

Lectures and seminars
Lectures and seminar are organized and held through out the year, targeting different categories. Lectures are based on the interest of the targeted audience and presented by PSE experts.

Training courses
PSE conducts training courses for different categories, such as media and press, certified broker course, and Introductory to securities and exchange markets. These training courses are introduced by PSE experts who aim at developing participants' investment skills.

Masters Scholarships Program
This program is basically set by the Social Responsibility programs which are organized by PSE; it serves Investor Education goals since it encourages researches and students to focus on investment and money exchanges in particular in their thesis.

PSE visit to Schools
PSE is preparing for launching a customized program for school students which will be based on visits to different schools in different governorates to lecture about market exchanges and investments. Moreover, students will be provided with publications of investor education. The program is to be applied in January 2010.

Annual Palestinian Capital Market Forum
The “Annual Palestinian Capital Market Forum” constitutes an open platform for discussing major issues that have a direct impact on Capital Markets and investments, opening a communication channel between local, regional and international experts and stakeholders. This Forum furnishes the opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas on how this sector can utilize its economical future role within the continuous changes in the investment environment.

Promotional Road shows
PSE conducts one regional & one international road shows each year aiming at attracting new potential investors and foreign capital investments into the listed companies on PSE. PSE strives to promote potential investment opportunities existing in the securities sector, introduce the investment environment in Palestine as a promising fertile environment for a long term investment and marketing success stories of listed companies on the Exchange.

Souk El-Mal Magazine
A bi-monthly magazine that is published by the PSE that aims at and through the magazine to communicate with all related parties and interested people in Capital Markets issues, and to generalize the information about the market exchanges, in addition to raising the investment awareness and culture.

Statistical Reports
PSE issues periodical statistical reports which are published to all audience and related people. The reports publish data concerning the market performance, shares pricing trends, statistical data, daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
About Palestine Securities Exchange- PSE
Palestine Securities Exchange (PSE) is a private shareholding company that was established in 1996 and held its first trading session on 18 February 1997.
PSE operates under the supervision of the Palestinian Capital Market Authority (PCMA) and in accordance with the Securities Law No. (12) 2004 and its by-laws, in addition to modern regulations, which form a strong basis that ensure a fair trading environment.
PSE is committed to the rules of good institutional governance, uses the latest technological tools and builds close relationships with Arab, regional and international markets.
PSE strives to provide a market for trading securities and financial instruments that is characterized by equity, transparency and competence, serving and maintaining the interest of investors.
There are no restrictions on foreign investments at PSE, unless the by-laws of the listed companies on the exchange state otherwise. To attract and encourage foreign investment, PSE signed a Custodian Agreement with HSBC Bank in 1999.
